Who it is for
For anyone who wants to try diving before committing to a course. We run it in the pool in winter, or straight from the beach or the boat at the Black Sea in summer. You can try scuba close to home.
It is not a certification course. It is a quick, easy introduction to what exploring the underwater world involves.
What you will do
The basic safety guidelines and skills you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional.
- Learn what scuba equipment is made of and how easy it is to move underwater with it.
- Find out what breathing underwater feels like.
- Learn key skills you will use on every dive from now on.
- Enjoy swimming and exploring.
- Hear how to become a certified diver through the PADI Open Water Diver course.
If your dive is in open water, you will practise a few more skills in shallow water first to get ready for the adventure.

Do I get certified after Discover Scuba Diving?
No. It is an introductory experience. To get certified, the next step is the PADI Open Water Diver course.
Do I need any experience?
No previous scuba experience is needed. You must be at least 10 and in reasonably good health.
